Communication and Technology
Throughout the region, technology is widely available. For the majority of the countries in South Asia, communication has improved greatly over the past couple of years. Almost all the countries are operating at a adequate level for communication. In these countries, technology is available in larger cities. Bangladesh's communication system is inadequate for a modern country. Nepal has poor telephone and telegraph service. Despite these two countries' lack of technology, the rest of the region is functioning well with the rest of the world. In the next several years, technology and communication will continue to improve in South Asia. |
Natural Resources
South Asia does not have a lot of natural resources. Some of the limited resources that they do have are natural gas, iron ore, manganese, chromite, and limestone. Some of the countries also produce coal. Within the region, there are a couple countries that have rich land which is great for farming. Because of the landscape in the region, South Asia is not left with a lot of natural resources and this, at times, hurts their economy.
